allow me to share my experience.

i bought a huawei mifi router which i bought from another 'mugger almost 2 years ago, and unlocked it myself. since 2010, i have been using smart's unlisurf promo for prepaid until i realized that my monthly expenses (P1200 thereabouts) were probably costing me more than just getting a postpaid line instead.

i went to smart and applied for a smart bro postpaid line - sim only for PhP 999/mo and unlimited surfing and use the router with my ancient mifi - and i'm a very happy camper.

mifi is a mobile router which typically uses a sim card. the postpaid plan is linked to the sim card.

trust me, you won't be getting those promised speed with sun, the most is 2mbps (their previous promised speed). I think they have yet to up the cap on their APNs marry that with the fact that its is the cheapest broadband option with a lot of subscribers.

50mb is not much when you consider that even ordinary surfing will up this allotment in a few hours, does your provider charge you extra once you exceed the 50mb limit?

I'm using a SmartBRO postpaid unlimited data plan (SIM only) for P999/mo., and it used to work fine on my iPad 2 - and actually better on my new iPad 3, to which I'd transferred it:
