If these prices are real, wow, it means Globe is subsidizing 16,489.92 and 17,590.08 for the 64 and 256gb models respectively for Plan 1799. i computed it by comparing the Unlocked SRP + equivalent Sim-only Plan, versus the Plan Cashout + Monthly Plan. Plan 999 doesn't have a matching sim-only equivalent.
Guys, are those the only plans? I currently have a second line for only 299, can I request Globe to calculate a cash out under that? Or must I upgrade to atleast 599? My first line is already under contract for iPhone 7+.
I believe "ThePLAN" starts at 599. There are other plan denominations but I did not bother including them in my personal spreadsheet because either the cashout is the same as another (1999 and 2999) or if there is no equivalent sim-only plan (599 & 999). I think it's worth noting that the carrier subsidy for plans lower than P1799 is not that significant - you get at most a P4,800 discount from the official SRP.
Yeah youre right, but my second line is used by my younger sister. She rarely exceeds 299. So she continues paying 299 monthly, while I pay for the cashout. So if I pick a higher plan, I pay anything that exceeds 299. Thats why Im wondering if I can get the phone while staying at 299.
For example for Plan 1799, the equivalent sim-only plan is 1299 because it has an extra 500 peso value. so thats SRP/24 + 1299 for Plan 1799's unlocked equivalent. I took the equivalent sim-only plans so you're getting the same amount of service for both comparisons, the only difference is having an unlocked vs globe-locked unit.
Guys, anyone knows if i can use my debit card (one time full charge) for my gf’s plan renewal? Thanx.
is it possible to split the cash out of unit? Like half of it I want to pay via credit card and the other half is split charged to my monthly bills?
From the post earlier, one saves around 170 php monthly at plan 799 when compared to unlocked prices. Expect a lower subsidy when Globe is kind enough to offer you a phone with cashout at that plan. Better yet, buy an unlocked phone and switch to a prepaid sim. This way, you only pay for what you use (referring to the sim service since she doesnt even reach 299 monthly). All the best!
Yes,it's possible but I believe the installment option would entail a higher cost compared to the straight cash out payment.
I mean half of it i will pay straight on my credit card to avoid interest charges... then half of it... i will let Globe divide and charge to my 24 months billing? Is that possible?
I think this is possible though. Previously, I did avail my Iphone 7 plus from globe by charging half of the cashout to my bill and then the other half settled by cash. In your case, this may be accepted. It's best to consult the billing department of Globe to confirm.
I just received a call from my RM and she confirmed that I can expect my unit to be delivered on December 1. The price list is very accurate.
